ROUGH TIME (2016-2018)

We live in a rush. We do everything in haste. In a fleeting moment, we glance at the mirror and realize we’ve aged. Time has passed, and many dreams and plans were left behind.

The idea of increasing productivity in less time, born out of the Industrial Revolution, has become embedded in the fabric of modern society. Despite technological advances that have brought countless conveniences, the relentless pursuit of time management and maximum efficiency often produces the opposite effect.

Do we really need to live in constant urgency? Must life always fit into a schedule? We’re perpetually late, always racing against time like the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.

Rough Time employs a hybrid language, blending image and word through video art experiments. The work unfolds through speech, writing, photography, video, and performance, inviting reflection on the passage of time and the symptomatic lack of it in contemporary life.

Technical File: experiments of video art.
